There and back again

We have arrived

Back blip No1. We arrived after an uneventful drive at Hoopers Cottage, Orlandon, Pembrokeshire which is about a mile from Marloes and Dale near the Milford Haven water way.

Although it looks small from the front it is very large inside and could have slept 10 people. This small group of cottages were part of St Brides Castle estate and our cottage had been the home of the estate carpenter. The one next door was used by the estate blacksmith and one was part of the estate farm.

The first thing we found was that there was no connection for mobile phone, WIFI or radio. The cottage has Sky TV so the Olympics watchers among us were not deprived of the competitions. I am afraid that most of the time it was showing Ceebies children programs!

We had arranged a delivery of goodies from the "You Shop, we drop" people
so in no time we up and running. The surrounding area was very much like Devon with a network of narrow lanes running between high hedges and apart from the lanes and footpaths we were left with the coastal path and beeches to exercise. Day one gone already
