Old stuff

I went to check up on eldest sons house today as he's back from his holidays tomorrow. That's when the dog goes the journey (not literally) but to her own home. These things belonged to my Mam who died 32 years ago past Friday. Like her l am a hoarder and so is Tim although he has the things as Ornaments making the house look a bit like Beamish Museum. Still it's nice to see her treasures being seen and not thrown out.The Poss stick is well worn.As a child l remember her battering the life out of the clothes then they would be boiled to death. I don't remember the gas iron being used only the flat irons.The mincer came out every Monday to mince the left over beef to make pies.As a baby Tim played with the scales rather than his toys. The clock is still working l think it's a granddaughter clock.not sure.its from the 1930s.The poss tub rusted so was thrown out.Oh Happy days :-)
