Boot Hill
One of the best things about coming here out of season is to enjoy driving on the quiet little back lanes without encountering much traffic.
We set out on another glorious sunny day to drive the short distance to Aberdaron. It's a place we avoid in high season because of the crowds.
Firstly we drove though the village and up to the highest vantage point to view Bardsey Island.
On our return we parked up and l took some photographs of the local heron that were putting on a fine display swooping up and down the narrow estuary.
We called at the bake house and bought cheese and onion pasties straight from the oven and some coffees.
Went straight to the seafront and sat on a bench to eat them.
Mr P had just commented that it didn't get much better than this when l tipped my coffee straight down me onto my camera and new Boden tunic that l only purchased last week.
It was a close call which l dabbed first - with Mr P's hankie!
Got the camera sorted but the damage was done on my clothing.
(It's presently soaking in the sink)
Mr P was happy to sit and get his daily dose of Vitamin D and l had a tootle around.
First l made my way to the chapel that is next to the coast with a graveyard where all the tombstones face out to sea.
Couldn't think of a better final resting place.
We always think it looks like Boot Hill, so that's my title today.
