I listened to BBC Cambridgeshire radio this afternoon and they were talking about the recently deceased Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire who was a Wisbech resident I have met over the years. It was lovely to hear him described so well. He used to be a man mountain with a booming voice although in recent years he sized down but he was a gentleman. They described him as wanting everyone in Cambridgeshire to be happy and being willing to try to achieve that for us all. He will be hard to replace if indeed that is anywhere near possible.;-(   http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0482xm6 is the recording and it is really nice how they talk of him, well worth a listen and something for us all to aspire to perhaps. About 15 mins in but the earlier conversation is a laugh.:-)
