The Locks of Frómista

We're into the flatlands properly today so where else would you expect to find a canal I suppose? The last 4k of today's walk were spent wandering alongside the Canal de Castilla and, according to all the other pilots, it was very reminiscent of canals everywhere - with a few more hills about it could have been England.

Until we got to the lock, which is very different to many that all of us had seen before. It's a shame the canal is not I'm use anymore, I could easily have watched a boat journeying through this intricate system.
