Ostrich Farm at Oudshoom

We crossed the Outeniqua mountains which separate the lush coastal area and the more arid Skein Karoo, and visited an Ostrich farm in Oudshoom. This was amazing, but alas I was too heavy to ride one, although one of our party did. I did however agree to feed them, and about 4 of them put their heads around my neck to get to the food. I didn't realise they would be so soft! Needless to say that I did but a glasses case made of Ostrich skin, and an egg to bring home! (Hand luggage!!) It arrived safely and now sits in pride of place in the sitting room!
Then we travelled on to Cape Town.
