First birthday

The whole point of taking such a long train journey yesterday . Much as the ride left me aching from head to foot one smile from little Effy and that is all forgotten.

We are extremely lucky that four of our grandchildren live in the County but the youngest has moved to Scotland were her dad,a Pembrokeshire boy, has moved to pursue his career. Many of the youngsters from Pembrokeshire have to leave the County as being a rural area the employment opportunities are few and far between. Unsurprisingly many people choose to retire to our beautiful County and we have an unbalanced demographic as a result.
One thing I have noticed since putting my pictures on to social media sites is the large number of Pembrokeshire born and raised people who would desperately like to return and give their children the upbringing they enjoyed.
Times change and not always for the better.
