On the croft 2
Woke to find the Hebridean Princess moored outside our sitting room window, bellowing diesel fumes at us. Just like being at home (our house is half a metre from the village bus stop.)
The crew then got out large inflatable motor boat and roared up and down the lock, presumably showing the passengers the seals and the eagles, very quickly. On the plus side some did go ashore, hopefully to spend money in the cafe and the shop in Shieldaig.
Cruise ships are huge polluters and rarely provide additional trade for locals on shore. However the HP is a minnow or possibly even plankton compared to modern floating tower blocks. Rant.
Another stunning day. Tripped over a snoozing deer whilst taking this shot. Also otters and the sea eagle were about and of course the local seals. A dolphin or two would be nice....
