The snail and the ??? some sort of fly?

Once again I've blipped something that I don't know the name of. It must be irritating for you blippers who know more about these creatures than I. I think it might be some kind of hover fly rather than a waspy/bee?

A lazy Sunday, I only got as far as the end of the garden today. Which is where I blipped these two. Well.. I needed a rest after jumping about like a loon last night watching Mo Farah strike gold in the 5000 metres... Hooray. Fortunately our dinner guests were just as enthusiastic about it!
