Croissants and Clouds

Full marks for Phil, who did a little research this morning on Boise bakeries and came up with Janjou Patisserie, very near where we're staying. After a slow start, we went there for breakfast, where I had the very best croissant of my 69 years and almost 8 months, including two visits to Paris, more than five decades apart.

Needing to walk off at least some of the calories we'd ingested, we headed first to the Boise Costco for an item Phil thought he had forgotten to bring, and then to a newer section of the Boise River Park, where I took today's blip.

We enjoyed walking along the river and this adjacent lake in the autumnal sunshine, greeting other walkers and bicyclists along the way, and then headed to the Boise Co-op for a late lunch. We perused the wine and beer aisles with considerable interest afterward, purchasing several bottles to take with us to Hailey tomorrow, and then added salads and light entrees to our shopping, not wanting to go out to eat tonight.

I'm not the only member of my family to be traveling -- my son, W, is in Iceland, and later will go to Dublin, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. I have to say that a one hour time difference is much easier on senior citizens than an eight-hour one!
