Almost Heaven.....

After a 3 1/2 hour drive to the Canaan Valley, I met up with the landscape workshop group at the Lodge. There are 8 of us plus our two wonderful teachers and guides.  We watched and shot a stunning sunset from Lindy Point and then regrouped and went out to the Black River Wildlife Refuge for some night shots.  It is nearly 11:30 now and we have a 5:30 start tomorrow, so this will be short.  I have quickly reviewed my shots and this one popped out at me.  It was very dark and hard to know if I was well focused, and what was actually in the image. Not perfect but not bad for a first try.  The bright light you see is a crescent moon that was just about to set.
