Angela Barber

On today's lunchtime walk with Buddy, I came across this bench is a completely hidden away corner of Highfield Park. It was such a secluded and peaceful spot that I felt compelled to sit down for a couple of minutes while Buddy foraged around nearby. The bench has been installed in memory of Angela Barber, who worked as a Nurse at Hill End Hospital in 1956, although its good state of repair suggests that it was put in place much more recently than that.
