Dull, Dull, Dull...
My write ups are so boring at the moment as all I have to talk about is building work. Sigh.
Had a meeting with the electrician this morning as he was concerned about the placement of the down-lighters in the garden room and the small hallway that links the garden room to the pool room. They're not symmetrical apparently.
I appreciate his drawing my attention to this but the lighting specialist has done detailed drawings and planning and I am sure has placed them to properly light they areas they are designed to light. But thought I better check. Well actually I thought David better check so I passed the problem to him.
This afternoon I met with the boss man and his foreman to discuss the break through the outside wall (now destined to begin on Monday 24th October).
Nothing is ever straightforward.
There are water pipes running just above where they are breaking through so extra care will have to be taken. Also the internal wall into the hall is coming down as they have to relocate the kitchen door further along it, turns out to be more solid than we thought. Hoping it's not brick but it's certainly stronger than a stud partition (blooming' Victorian house!)
And the mess is going to be even greater than I thought as the other internal wall in the kitchen that's coming down is solid and they then have to dig up the quarry floor tiles, take the lowered section of ceiling down and cut through the roof to put in a velux window.
But that's not for a couple of weeks so I am going to put it out of my head.
For now it is Friday and in a couple of hours it will be Gin O'clock and fajita time!
Have a great weekend Blip Pals :-)))
