Drumlanrig Castle

We visited Drumlanrig Castle today. I've been wanting to go there for a while now, so we chose today. It was well worth the longish journey there.

We had a lovely lunch in the tea room. The home baking looked amazing but I managed to resist and just had soup and a roll. Kerrsdaddy had a Ploughman's lunch which was huge, and apparently delicious.

I then went on a guided tour of the inside of the castle while Kerr and Kerrsdaddy took Fudge for a walk in the woods and they practiced building shelters out of sticks.

We all met up and headed to the huge adventure playground. It is well hidden under the trees and is probably more for older children, but Kerr still managed to go on the zip slides and the massive slides with no fear at all.

A great day out, and definitely a place we plan to visit again soon.
