Madness

Wow. What a day! The work day flew thanks to lunching at McGettigan's with my colleagues. Work day over and I raced home to hand the car to G who was off to Awana which kicked off today.

Managed a nice leisurely hour at home before I got picked up by John & Marilyn to go out for dinner to our favourite restaurant - Chicken Tikka Inn on Beach Road! The temps have dropped a lot, so we were able to sit outside. G met up with us and glad to say - the food didn't disappoint.

Madness (yes - Madness) were playing at the Tennis Stadium, and we had already agreed to go over after dinner to sit in one of the restaurants in Century Village and listen to them... so off we went... showed J&M a bit of Dubai's nightlife which they were really surprised at, having left Dubai in 1990. We had nothing like it then!

We watched all the concert goers pile out around 11pm... so we took J&M in so they could see the stadium. Well, I have never seen it look so messy. Cans and plastic glasses everywhere - what a disgrace! Had to capture the scene for posterity; in fact, John was wearing a light pink shirt and he agreed to be my subject, but you can't really see it in the night, and I thought the lady with the pink bag was in just the right place for me! [This is actually a tidier section of the place]

Another late night... SO GLAD it is the weekend.
