Top tip of the day: before you switch on the coffee machine, remember to put the jug back. Otherwise you will not be the most popular person in the kitchen. Just saying!

Luckily the day improved after that bit of a disaster. A decent meeting with my new IFA who still thinks I won't need to go back to work (a wee cheer called for!), then off to Kilspindie to play golf with George. The weather stayed almost decent, the course is great, the views are stunning and I won (another wee cheer for that). A grand way to spend an afternoon.
