Parliamentary roof

I hadn't been in the chamber of the National Assembly of Wales in Cardiff until today.

It is a lovely debating space and seems to have great acoustics, largely I suspect because of this fabulous roof which will both funnel and reflect sound.

The cone rises up and forms a feature further up the building, sprouting out of the floor like a tree.
