Happy Days.

Went to town this morni,ng to watch the young  people marching through Bridgend town centre, as part of the Urdd National Eisteddfod, on there way to the Proclamation Festival, which ended in Newbridge Fields. I followed the procession all around the town, and as we got near the fields, I saw someone waving at me. It was my friend Julia, who's husband is a local councillor. She called me over to join the rest of the march, so I did. When we got to the field, there was music playing, which were the Bridgend Big Band, and they were very good indeed. (see my extras , also the police lady taking a selfie)) I didn't wait for the actual ceremony to start, so said my good byes, and walked back into town.  I headed to the bus station, and I heard someone say, over here for free lunches. Now you know that I never miss an opportunity, so I got in the queue, and was asked if I wanted a spicy Italian Subway roll, and a bottle of water. The reason for this was, two local      war veterans, had spent £1, 500 pounds, in thanks to the people of Bridgend, who had made their lives easier. In return, we had to promise to do one favour today, in thanks for the free meal. How wonderful was that? I then went to wait for my bus, and I waited, and waited, and no one seemed to know what was going on. Every other bus was on time, except mine, and when  it eventually turned up, the driver informed us, that there had been two accidents, and they had closed the road into town. I got home much later, than planned, and enjoyed my free Subway roll. What an exciting day!.
I checked to see if the dolly was still in the tree, but it was gone.
