peg bored

I’ve no idea how long this peg has been lying here.  In the wet.  It’s a couple of feet from the back door and one possibility that comes to mind is that it got lost overboard one time when Anniemay was hurrying to get the washing in. 

But I dismiss that idea because anyone who has followed her blips - especially those featuring washing - will know that she does not use old fashioned wooden pegs, especially plain ones - her’s are all plastic and colour coordinated. 

The spring is rusty which suggests it’s been here sometime.  As have I at this computer, trying to conjure up an interesting and plausible explanation; but I can’t and I’m bored now.  It’s a mystery and I’ll leave it like that.
