The Trout Inn: Pub Peacock

I only had my walkabout lens mounted, but still had fun trying to get close-ups of the peacock at The Trout Inn... We walked across Port Meadow to The Trout Inn as one of the Middle Common Room (MCR) Freshers' Week events (welcoming new people to the college). The Trout Inn is beautifully placed next to the Thames near the Godstow Lock, quite like The Perch except the river runs right alongside the pub's terrace.

When we arrived, the peacock was perching (threateningly) above the pub's door out to the terrace. He hopped down after a while, trotted over to an abandoned table, hopped up via a chair, and started picking at the pickings. After nibbling on some leaves (after dropping the chicken bones to the ground), he then strutted around the other tables looking for more leftovers...
