Disney Day 1
Finally, after 8 months of excitement the day finally arrived. Disney here we come. We got up and pushed our way through some huge crowds to the Eurostar terminal. We checked in and soon boarded the train. First time under the channel, first time abroad as a family. We ate our sandwiches on the train and got more excited.
As soon as we had got off the train and left our luggage we headed straight for Disneyland.
We were all amazed by the park - everything perfect in Disney style.
Our first stop was the customer services where a letter from the Doctor explaining that I needed to use a wheelchair meant that we got a pass that was magic - we were able to go to the front of every queue through the exits! (Maybe menigitis does have a positive side?!)
Then the magic really began. We went on lots of rides - Buzz Lightyear and the drive your own cars being favourites today.
Tea was at Walts - delicious food but the chocolate pudding was to die for... It was as good as Mr Roly's chocolate pot!
We got out of the restaurant just as the parade was going passed. Children were very happy.
Then it was off to our hotel to book in, the Newport Bay Lodge was fantastic and the staff looked after us brilliantly from the moment we arrived. Even better, we had been upgraded to a view over the lake at the front of the hotel.
