The Day An Astronaut Came To Town

Today Oliver and I headed into Oxford to see Commander Chris Hadfield at Blackwells bookstore. He was there to sign his new children's book.

Oliver has been doing space in science at school this term, so the opportunity to meet a real astronaut was too good to miss. I think I was probably more in awe of his achievements than Oliver, but nonetheless Oliver really did enjoy meeting him and having a very brief chat.

He also has a picture of him meeting Chris Hadfield to take into school and show the science teacher, who is quite space mad, which I am sure will be very warmly met.
