Swans and Ripples
These two swans have been around and about Seafield Pond over the last few months, occasionally out in the bay or on the river nearby. I'm not sure whether they are a mating pair or just a couple of the cygnets out of the family of five which survived from the previous year. Anyway there has not any cygnets this year so we have to see next spring. What was quite helpful in composing the shot was the fact that the forefront swan kept diving for food creating this loving circular ripple around him/her whilst the one at the back just bobbed about gent;y in the background in the horizontal ripples caused by the slight breeze over the pond.
