Don Sfinx

Slow morning, visit to the Mältinranta Art Center with the whole family, Emma's team basketball game, and Ilona's nameday party made this Sunday great.

In the Mältinranta Art Center there are exhibitions of two artists: Marianne Siri's sculptures and Teemu Mäenpää's paintings. In the picture is a detail of Siri's beautiful work Don Sfinx. In her ceramic and gypsum sculptures Marianne Siri explores our unsustainable lifestyle and peoples biased relationship with nature. There are sculptures of over-bred dog breeds Shar pei and Pug, a monk who plays Playstation, and two meditating dogs, a Miniature Schnauzer and a Whippet. Quiet, noble bystander Don Sfinx observes the room.
