Gutted. . .
I had the Glasgow 100 RIDE today for Action Medical Research, which began for me around 7am. We took the bike on the back of the car and Joni dropped me over at Bishopton. Amélie slept.
After registering and getting organised for the century of miles, we set off.
Around 12 - 15 miles up the hilly roads of Inverclyde, not far from the decent into Greenock, my pedal began to come loose and the short version of the story is that I had to withdraw from the ride. To say I was gutted is an understatement.
Joni was great support as always and I we got home and I managed to take the bike to get fixed and decided to head out while they were at Mass. It was good to clear my head.
