Perfect day...

Woke up after our lovely day in Cardiff on Saturday (backblipped here), had breakfast at our hotel then went over to spend the day with Welsh Si and Rosie - bit sad we didn't get to see Wooly though, he didn't make an appearance! We did meet Bronwyn & Ieuan though, we have seen their photos on blip so it was lovely to meet them in real life!

The day just flew by, we had a yummy roast dinner cooked by Si then went out to the fantastic Sirhowy Valley country park right on their doorstep. We saw a jay, some tiny wrens, walked by the river and through the woods, beautiful weather too so I'm not sure what happened to the forecast rain.

Got back then had home made (by Si, he's been a busy bee today!) Welsh cakes and more coffee before making our way home much later than originally planned. Lovely day with great friends, must do it again soon..

Got home in time to watch the Olympics Closing Ceremony - not quite as awe-inspiring as the Opening Ceremony but we enjoyed it anyway.
