Driving South

Today we drove the six hours to Wellington.  This is taken through the windscreen because the weather was not very pleasant  and I didn't feel like stopping and taking a more considered shot.  These pylons march across the Desert Rd so called because only tussock and snow grasses grow in the poor soil and survive the winds.  The altitude is over 600m or 2000ft.  Not much compared to Colorado :-)
