MONO MONDAY - QUICK AS A FLASH!

Well perhaps not quite as quick as a flash!  In fact, the only Flash around this morning was what was being used to clean the ceiling, walls and cupboards in our kitchen.
 
After having other rooms redecorated, we decided, rightly or wrongly, that we would have a go at “doing the kitchen” ourselves.  In a moment of madness, that may NOT have been a good thing.  In the early years of our marriage, Mr. HCB quickly realised that I was the quick “slap it on” type of decorator, whereas he was the slow and methodical one.  That has not changed in almost 50 years and we still can't agree about which is the best way!
 
Mainly because Mr. HCB said I couldn’t get up on the steps, we had a good system going – I squeezed the Flash Degreaser onto a cloth, he did the work and I had a clean damp cloth ready for him to wipe it off - and so it went on.  That  sounds like a good idea and it was working until I saw that he had missed a bit and told him – I was nearly wearing the Flash, believe me!  He may be gentle, kind and not usually easily annoyed, but I think that was a step too far.
 
However, when I told him he was likely to be my Mono Monday blip for today, he was delighted – well I think that look meant he was!
 
It’s now coffee break time and he has decided that a stint in the garden might be preferable to being indoors with me – can’t think why, but perhaps it will be just as well – then I can get up on the steps and he won’t even see!
