More intriguing venation and spiral phyllotaxy in large. 

This Acanthus inflorescence had tipped over, offering a rather intriguing view of it from "above". I liked the way that the angle emphasised the geometric arrangement of the flowers in the inflorescence. I've uploaded another shot (from a different angle, with different light) as an extra.
