Ladies who wHine

Tonight I met the lovely Asma, for a girlie catch up and wine.

Asma is the CEO for the Ladies who LEarn programme, providing life skills, business coaching, mentorship & a whole lot more to young women in the Tower Hamlets / Hackney area to build confidence when starting in their careers.

Asma started this programme in 2011, (after a successful career in creative & cultural environments where she held various management positions) to help under privileged women growing up in similar backgrounds to her own - that of a council estate in Peckham.

I'm going to be joining their programme this year & be a mentor to one of the girls which is very exciting.

Like Asma, I grew up in very humble beginnings & whilst we both have a lot to be thankful for, tonight we wHined about the one thing that had eluded us both - the opportunity to be a mum.

But I know there's lots of rainbows for us both as we have the most loving partners, family & friends.
