Ready to be measured!

I needed to work out the size of the backing material for the hexagons. They will be appliquéd on to 4 strips, attached to the quilt and joined at the corners. The important thing will be that they join up perfectly. B helped me with the measurements and my calculations, so as to do a double check.  
 
A morning in the garden and afternoon at my knit and natter group.
   
The next time I post a blip of the quilt will be at the end of this stage!!!! Might be a lengthy wait :0)
