Rapeseed

Hard to believe that another year has gone by since I blipped the paddocks of rapeseed.  We went into town to do some shopping and called into visit friends, they weren't home so took a wee drive around our district.

This paddock is just around the corner from us, so once home I got the camera and snapped of a couple.  Three images (one stop under, one over and one even) then merged them.  I'm not a big fan of the bright yellow, so have just added a smidgen of magenta to take away the brightness of the yellow, and its still looking too much!!

A terrible shock phone call last night - one of our neighbours and good friend for 40 years died suddenly last night, he had just recently retired from farming and they were about to start building their dream home.  We are both feeling very sad and shocked.  Such a cruel blow, and my heart goes out to his wife who is one of my good friends and a member of our craft group.
