Day Two walking the Nakesendo Trail

A long day of climbing through tiny mountain villages to a Pass (will put it in here when I can remember how to spell it) About 17 km up and 4 down! Sitting quietly in a beautiful ryokan having just had a much needed soak in some hot springs. Dinner soon.

This little garden has been lovingly created and tended with wonderful touches of colour and whimsy. The umbrella was a real surprise. On display for walkers who happen by but otherwise a personal work of art.
