Been asked to...
..take some photographs of the hotel for their new website and for reservation sites. So trying to find a good angle for the hotel, and someone suggested my old favourite, HDR.
No. No hdr. Probably. The problem with hdr in this case is the sky. It's meant to be a photograph of somewhere you want to visit, not look at moody clouds. The hotel is meant to attract you to visit, whilst the sky is meant to - not put you off wanting to visit. "Hey, it's a great hotel, it's a great photograph, but the weather.....". So I don't think hdr works on this.
Gonna try a few other hdr shots yet with different skies but I'm not entirely sure that is the answer. So although hdr does a great job of pulling the sky, i'm not sure it's the right thing.
