Manor Kirk again...

There has been a succession of churches serving the Manor Valley - tradition asserts that there was a chapel dedicated to St Gordian in the fourth century.  The present building was completed in 1874.  It was much needed and was achieved by leaving the church vacant for a few years, and saving  up the stipend money.   The bell, rung before every service, is inscribed 'In honore Santi Gordiani MCCCCLXXVIII' and is one of the oldest bells in use in Scotland.

There was a very little sun today, so lucky to get this,  although a bit of tweaking made it much brighter (and maybe a little suffering from washout.)
