Almost the last

Went for a nice long walk this morning and found a new route, did almost 3 miles. Did some gardening, harvested some of the cabbages, they are tiny and lots of outside leaves needed to be removed as they were full of holes and covered in black bits. Then soaked them in salt water to remove any grubbies. Cooked a lovely stew and cooked some of the cabbage, it was delicious. The corn looked a good size on the plant but after I opened it saw its not ripe enough to eat. Spent the afternoon editing some photos for a friend and I really enjoyed it.
There are still a few sweet corn plants and some cabbages left in the garden not sure if they will be edible before they are killed off by the frost.
