World Obesity Day

The latest stats released by the WHO:  nearly 40% of the world's population is overweight. The WHO is suggesting taxes on sugary drinks.  There are always healthy choices of  drinks and food though.  This one of the food stalls at the ferry terminal that offers some.
We went into Duncan for G's appointment with the optometrist today.  
We had frost this morning and it's been sunny and chilly all day, a nice day for a ferry trip to the big island and a drive down to Victoria after the appointment.  Apparently storm systems are heading our way starting Wednesday night and lasting through the weekend, heavy rain and high winds.  Batten down the hatches!
