We've been out having fun at portobello beach. I've been caught in the tide. Drying out at Luca's in Musselburgh waiting on ice cream. I'll probably edit this later.

A midweek day off is so indulgent! The girls are on holiday, so I took a day off to spend some time with them. Their dad was typically late in bringing them back to me, but once we decided what was to be done we left this little lady and headed south to the seaside. First call Portobello, even though it was raining I managed to get a few pictures of the sea, and an octopus art installation which has been there since the art festival. Then onto Musselburgh for lunch and ice cream at Luca's. I had a monutain of nachos I couldn't finish, and I've been put off eating any more cheese for a few days. Willow and I shared a salted caramel chocolate brownie Sundae which did taste as good as it sounds. Some very interesting buildings in Musselburgh that I've not noticed before, and an amazing off license that has world beers. I spent way too much there. Home now to relax and try and ignore my cheese belly.
