Juvenile Blackbird - Turdus merula

A very cold, wet, dark day outside as you can see from this fluffed-up young Blackbird who sat for ages on my garden fence this morning. From the state of its feathers  -  looks like it is moulting  -  it must be the result of a late nesting.  I waited for ages for it to stretch its neck so I could see the state of its feathers better, but it stayed hunched up until flying off  -  of course, I only caught its tail then:(   Have a nice evening, everyone:)
