New sleeping arrangements
She woke up at 3am cos she heard a loud bang - no idea what it may have been - then moved to our room and promptly started to snore in her bedside cot. Then slept for another hour after we turned the lights on at 6:30! When she finally woke up she said "that was so cozy, Mommy."
We're trying this new arrangement out because she has been waking up afraid at 4am for the last 3 months, not every night but probably 4 nights a week, and we just can't handle sleeping on her floor anymore. We need less disruption for all three of us. After chatting with my sister about it, I remembered that myself and my three younger siblings all slept at the foot of my parents bed for a period when we were about T's age.
So maybe this is just one of those stages that she will get through. And it's actually such a minor disruption when she crawls into her little cot that I'm not even bothered. It felt strangely comforting to hear her little snores next to Austen.
