Photography Exhibition

I'm a member of the Linton Camera Club who have their annual exhibition on Saturday.  I've said I'd submit 6 photos but even restricting my choice to only photos of Linton it has been really difficult deciding which 6.

I picked the 6 last night and printed them out only to discover that what I see on the computer screen (colour-wise) is not what comes out of the printer.  So I've had to re-edit them hoicking up the saturation levels to eye watering proportions so they appear colourful printed out...

Anyone else found  this and has a solution/explanation?

First time I've done this so I'm sure it currently seems all a bigger deal than it really is.
