Looks Good To Me

I Want To Report a Fire!

Back Blip

I was too tired to write about our last (very) full day in Boise, but Cynthia has already done an excellent job in her blip, including one of her photos of the graffiti in the "Freak Alley Gallery". As you may have guessed, my photo was taken in the same location.

Our visit to the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial was very moving. There were references to human rights violations in several countries, including the USA. In 1942, the US government interned US citizens of Japanese descent in "relocation camps", a euphemism for concentration camps -- see my extra photo. Many of those people lost their homes and businesses. In 1988, President Reagan signed the Civil Liberties Act, a formal apology, authorizing $20,000 in compensation to each of the 82,219 surviving victims.
