A Gift from a Treasure

I received an email from Jolang this morning to say she was downsizing and wondered if my granddaughter would like this lovely piece of cross stitch she had worked. 
I was delighted to accept, especially as it is Elizabeth's eighth birthday today :-)

I also took the blip opportunity. I wish I could look this good if someone called in with only 5 minutes notice.
Jolang tells me she almost 88 but we all know women sometimes aren't exactly truthful about their age and I think that must be the case here ;-))

To top it off, I usually run portraits of anyone over 30 through the Nik Dynamic Skin Softener but when I tried it here I honestly couldn't improve on Jolang so this is SOOC. 

Not fair is it?
