Canapes and Bragging

Today was the big day today of the British Business Embassy Infrastructure summit. It started at a bright and early 7.30am where I managed to grab a seat next to Sir John Armitt for breakfast. Sir John was the head of the ODC who built all the Olympic venues so a few jokes about the 2012 tv show were in order. He took it in good form and was very interesting to talk to. Seems to have done a few things in his time and managed to get some digs in at Danny Alexander and the Rep from the Chancellors office.
We had a water summit which was basically a brag about how good British companies are then it was Eric Pickles and Nick Clegg hosting canapes on the lawn with the beach volleyball.
Shortly after the free UK bitter samples started flowing and I went dancing in the west end. Great event.
