What to Do About Approaching Winter

Yesterday was a dismal day with dropping temperatures
and an inch of rain.  On such a day, I turn on lights and
stay within my home.  Thus I am sharing an interior
of my living room.  The threats of frost turned into
a reality this morning with frost-laden roofs out my window. 
Now, the turning leaves will hasten to leave their twigs on
trees.  Already they carpet the ground.  What the rain
did not bring down, the frost will.  Such is the cycle
of our northern season.
