Devonshire Arms, Beeley near Matlock

I had one of those lovely days when you meet up with two wonderful people who I had had the good fortune to help on their career when they were students with me in the 1980s. They came to my retirement do but there were too many people to talk properly so a wonderful lunch was arranged at this picturesque pub (I would recommend it) and we chatted not just about our shared past but on so many issues. It was lovely to see them again and hopefully it will not be too long before we do it again.
