Stanza
I have previously blipped one of the poems by Simon Armitage carved into stone - "Rain." Collectively known as the Stanza Stones, there are six of these, all about aspects of water, in the South Pennines. The text of the poems and more information can be found here. Inspired by a chance remark by someone I passed whilst out walking yesterday, today I set out to find as many as possible. I found four, of which this one - "Beck" - is my favourite. The others - Puddle, Mist and Dew - can be seen here.
My expedition was cut short by rain. I will locate the remaining stone - "Snow," which is near Marsden, on another day.
