Surprise

Osuzanna and I planned a mini blip meet today to the nearby Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens.  We've been there several times and have always left happy with photos of lotuses, water lilies, a green heron, etc.  Although I wasn't expecting a lot of flowers in October, I was hoping we would find interesting seed pods and shore birds.  What a surprise to have a Bald Eagle sit for a long period of time in a tree across the river.  The only improvement would have been if he was a little bit closer.  I had many shots that looked very similar, so in the end I just had to pick one.
