Big Boys Toys

I took a trip up to the opencast today.  It has been a while since I was up there.  Lots have changed with a lot of the old workings now filed in and grass and trees planted.  It’s amazing how they manage to return the landscape after they have removed the coal.
 
This is one of the latest pits to be opened and the trucks and shovels are working hard to remove the overburden from the coal seam.
