Now Showing at the Sewing-Box Movie Theatre...

..."Attack of the Shadow Dinosaurs!"

Basically (sorry to ruin the magic), it's a shadow made by my hands onto a notebook which is propped up in my sewing box.
Yes, I'm aware it's not great. But I thought it would be a fairly orignal thing to do for a first post.

I went up to London yesterday and took some really awesome photos at the Astoria as my way of saying goodbye to it. For anyone who doesn't know, London Astoria is probably the most iconic rock gig venue since CBGBs. It's being destroyed because apparently it no longer reaches health and safety standards.
Next time I go to London it won't be there, and I can't believe such a huge chunk of history is being demolished. My dad went to gigs at that venue when he was my age! The best gig I've ever been to was there! So, sorry that I'll never be able to post pictures of it on here. Google will work if you're intrigued.

I bought a case for my bass so I'll be able to bring it to school for orchestra practice. Why they want me to join, God only knows. I'm awful at bass. And I'm going to look majorly out of place among all these violins and wooden instuments... My bass is purple xD

I finally got to go to the millenium dome (aka the 02 arena). There's an exhibit there at the moment called Bodyworks; basically it's a load of corpses which have been dissected to show different sections of their anatomy (muscle, nerves, blood vessels etc) and then coated in plastic so that they'll never decay. It was very, very cool. But then again, I'm a sucker for pathology and modern art, so that's just my opinion. They actually have an entire plasticated giraffe there. It's heart is bigger than my head!

...Only 13 days until New Year now!
I'm going all the way to Cardiff in Wales for a gig on New Year's Eve. It's probably the best gig lineup ever, and may even rival that last one at the Astoria. Admittedly, it's pretty much my only christmas present this year, because of travel costs and such, but I don't care. I'd rather have one fantastic night with my friends and my favourite bands than a load of material possessions.

This has been a pretty long blog. I have a tendancy to ramble; sorry about that.

Until next time,
Susie x
